"The presence of a noble nature, generous in its wishes, ardent in its charity, changes the lights for us: we begin to see things again in their larger, quieter masses, and to believe that we too can be seen and judged in the wholeness of our character."
George Eliot (1819–80), English novelist, editor. Middlemarch, bk. 8, ch. 76 (1871).

This site is MY work. It was conceived solely by me and has been built over the years almost exclusively by me. No one - in particular, not one single Mason - was consulted when this site was being built, before OR AFTER it was put online, or at any time since. I've since gone on to do several other things online but it has been very clear that this site is mine and mine alone.

This site has never accepted advertising, has never used any type of affiliate program to produce income. All expenses of this site are borne by me directly and never once - not ever - since the site's inception have we accepted a single cent to assist in this effort.

This site does not speak for ANY Masonic organization whatsoever. The information presented is not unlike that of a book of non-fiction: it presents what the author believes to be the truth although there might be an inaccuracy or disagreement about a conclusion drawn.

A couple of disgruntled 'Fake Masons' will, from time to time, complain that this site represents this or that Masonic group. Nothing could be further from the truth but, since they can't refute the facts which condemn their sham activities, they try to cloud matters by demanding that my Grand Lodge should act against me for not presenting Freemasonry in a better light. Their arguments fall short for several reasons:

  1. This site was listed as a personal endeavor since the day it began. Heck, we even put a picture of our dog Prince (the inspiration for our 'search dog' which you see in the footer of every page) on the site as a bit of proof that the site was personal. (Ever see a picture of somebody's dog on an OFFICIAL Masonic website? We thought not....)
  2. Almost daily we receive an e-mail or two saying that this website has helped a man make a decision to join the organization. By clearing up uncertainties and by cutting through the fog of the self-promoters, religious fanatics and others, the site has been able to address things which Grand Lodges and other groups might find unseemly. Since Day One, we've 'taken names' and have exposed the stupidity. Of course, if you're among the crowd that doesn't like the daylight of truth shining on you, you'll be quick to rail that someone should cause this site to be taken down.

A particular point that's so very comical:

The couple of people who rail most loudly about the need for this site to be taken down by Masonic "authorities" are those who
