Over the years, there have been several 'popular examples of supposed Masonic conspiracies afoot in the world. We're going to collect a bunch of them here for your education and amusement.

Rarely do conspiracy theorists provide clear and concise writings. On the Internet one can fairly easily find many ramblings and 'shotgun' approaches to the many perceived interlocking world domination plans and planners. Cult of the Serpent is an interesting example of just such a combination. Using everything from Mayan Temples to George Bush to popular movies like The Andromeda Strain they weave Freemasonry into their fantasies.

Charging anyone and everyone as being in league together in the supposed "New World Order (NWO)", mention of Bildebergers and the Trilateral Commission is common. Masons almost always get 'tossed in' for 'good measure'! We found an interesting site that tossed 33rd Degree Mason George Bush (Masonicinfo Note: Former US President Bush isn't even a MASON let alone a holder of the Scottish Rite's 33rd Honorary Degree!!!), the International Monetary Fund, the World Council of Churches, the Quator Coronati (a UK Masonic research lodge), the German Marshall Fund, the CIA, and a whole lot more all together. Specific examples relating to Freemasonry involve things like the Kennedy Assassination, the Denver International Airport and recent killings in Kenya. What they all have in common, however, is a lack of specific connections to Freemasonry. Imaginations run amok but proof remains illusory.

We'd suggest that these fantasies can sometimes lead to paranoia and a delusional existence. Regretfully, such delusional paranoia can also have severe repercussions, a recent very visible example was the 1999 shooting of two Capital Police Officers in Washington, D.C.

With the events of September 11, 2001, it didn't take long for someone to find a conspiracy that linked to the Masons. Richard Hoagland who's 'Face on Mars' has managed to sell all sorts of books and tapes, now sees the numerology of the attack on America somehow related to the Martians and the Masons and the horrid events of that day. You can see just what some people will stoop to as they strive for attention right here. 

We'll be adding more here as time passes. Please bear with us if it takes a while: getting the 'full scoop' on secret things like this really is tricky - particularly if you're not a 'high-ranking Mason'!
