Stermole, 56, lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Many thanks to Bro. David Baylor for his initial ‘heads-up’ on this story. Our deepest sympathies are extended to the Wright family. As of December 13, 2007, the court found that the defendant was not competent to proceed, but more likely than not to regain competency if treated. They suspended proceedings and committed Mr. Stermole to a state institution for treatment including psychotropic medication. In February, 2008, he was adjudicated competent to stand trial and eligible for $500,000 cash bail which, fortunately, was never attained. The trial occurred during the June, 2008 and at its conclusion, the jury returned the following:
At a sentencing hearing on June 23, 2008, "The court finds by clear and convicing <sic> evidence that the defendant poses a significant risk to himself or others and commits the defendant for LIFE to the Department of Health and Family Services. It's just too bad that Sonny Rene Stermole didn't bother to deal with some very simple research before he spent all this time quoting stuff that has been proven as A HOAX!
Swing by his web site but be careful! They like BIG letters and LOTS OF UNDERLINING!!! He's also gotten their hands on a text-art program and have decided that somehow that'll make their site more readable. Just pick any of the pages that talk about Freemasonry, though, and you'll find LOTS of quotes ostensibly from Albert Pike. The only problem, though, is that they're ALL FROM THE TAXIL HOAX!!! (We'll cut out copying his format, now. We just couldn't help it! <giggle>)
The Leo Taxil hoax is documented in brief here on our site as well as in great detail here and here by recognized Masonic scholars. You'll notice that the Ministry of Biblical Defense has many quotes from William Schnoebelen, Jim Shaw, and the (in)famous "Lady Queenborough (Edith Starr Miller), 1933". Defense with lies - an interesting concept! - but of course, it is "without warranties" you'll remember!
From his web site on June 7, 1998, we find these several examples where "Bible Defense" has simply copied the works of others who've quoted the Taxil hoax. Sloppy scholarship or a hatred which Jesus would have never condoned: you decide!

We tend to think that anti-Masons make some very odd charges when they try to connect 'Masonic evil' with their personal lives. Sonny René Stermole, however, has one of the most vivid we've seen. Rather than recount his contacts with the CIA, the Mafia, and more, jump on over to his web site (link long gone and not retrievable through Internet Archive). You'll find it quite interesting!
Here's just a little 'teaser':
"To provide a little more perspective, it was in the fall of 1986 that a Mafia figure and a "biker" figure observed me in an another "establishment" and discussed what to do about me. What could they fear from a guy who was only drinking soda ?" The Mafia figure who was apparently from Chicago stated he knew of persons who could take care of me. Only a few days later, even immediately after expressing my concerns to an "off-duty" Milwaukee police officer who has otherwise been seen on television knocking down a door in a drug bust in the inner city, I was confronted at gunpoint by the most notorious gang in Chicago, whose founder was from Milwaukee. It was the same gang which is known in Chicago for performing murder for the Mafia, and which has been pursued by the FBI for conspiring to blow up federal buildings with the aid of Muhamar Kaddaffi. They made threats and instructed me to sell my parent's home. I was told the arrangements would be handled by a man who would pursuantly show up across the street from the front of the house in an automobile, and exactly as they described, a mature white man in a Caddilac showed up. It must have been a nice casual wait for him, because I only observed. So, in the spring of '87 a Mafia "family" man nearly breaks my neck. His comments to me, intriguingly, reflected similar sentiments as those expressed by the two assailants from the Mafia-connected gang. Religious and political denunciation of my beliefs. They were strikingly similar encounters in that respect.
